Our class decision making exercise on Monday, October 15, 2007 in regards to the first test we had, was a big chaos. Due to a group of people that had different ideas that wanted to implement and the other group that did not want to give more benefits to those that did not do well on the test because they thought it was not fare to them. Me personally took the compromise way to handle the chaos for one reason; I had a terrible flu and lost my voice. I could not express my opinion; I try but it did not work. Therefore, I decided to agree to whatever the class agrees to.
I think the class process was democratic and fair. The only thing I would have change was the fact that students went crazy talking all at the same time to then vote for a final proposal. The way I would have chosen was that everybody quietly had raise their hand to agree to a proposal or raise hand to make their statement. It would have been an organize activity and we would have had more time to make a better proposal.

I agree that the class was a big chaos. Too many people were talking at the same time and there was no real strong mederator who could control these urges and have some order in our decision making. I'm sorry to hear that you had the flu, but maybe from observing the class behaviour, you probably learned nore on how to handle a decision making process when you'll face one next time.
